'Outstanding' Lesson Observation on The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost

This lesson is highly differentiated, with learning goal sheets to ensure progress is evident and checked/reviewed at several checkpoints during the lesson. It also includes a detailed lesson plan and group activities that are then jigsawed to ensure all students are responsible for their own learning. I have alphabetised the poem for use as a starter activity and created a more accessible question sheet for students likely to achieve grade 2/3. This is a really good lesson to show the students working harder than you do!

The lesson continues to draw on the DIRT strategy to improve and assess work and establish success criteria for using the right tone when writing an article.
